Function
The Group Corporate TDI (transformation, digitization & Implementation) department was newly set up in 2023 to support the corporate departments of Elia Group in defining the business strategic ambitions, the capability gaps and the identification of the required transformation initiatives to execute on the strategy.

Elia Group has multiple Transformation offices responsible for providing support to the different value clusters of our Belgian & German entities and to the Elia Group Digital Committee to realize the Digital Business Transformation.
To strengthen our position, we are looking for a Transformation Portfolio Manager who will closely collaborate with peers in other transformation offices, senior corporate stakeholders, project managers, product owners, group strategy, group controlling, and IT to drive and coordinate company-wide strategy implementation, identify and act upon dependencies across value clusters.
As Transformation Portfolio manager you will report to the Head of Group Corporate TDI and are responsible for the following main activities:
- Support the annual strategic process (“5-step strategy process” – from North star, to Long term ambitions, to Key capability gaps and finally execution) for the Finance and HR communities, jointly with the Group Strategy colleagues, the business architect(s) and other relevant stakeholders;
- Develop & maintain an oversight of the portfolio of the transformation initiatives of the corporate departments at Elia & 50Hertz.
- Monitor the implementation of the defined ambitions of the corporate departments.
- Ensure transversal alignment and coordination with the different stakeholders necessary to successfully deliver on the defined ambitions.
- Organize, define and evaluate the business plan for the corporate departments with regards to the [digital] transformation portfolio, in close collaboration with our controlling departments. This also implies defining a roadmap view on the actions needed to realize the business ambitions.
- Set up and run the portfolio management governance. This includes a.o. ensuring the Business transformation initiatives are prioritized, selected, aligned, executed and monitored.
- Support the different initiative leaders in highlighting potential impediments and offering ways to resolve them.
- Enable Transformation Performance management on the corporate transformation portfolio:
- Apply the Elia Group-wide performance management governance and processes for the Corporate transformation initiatives.
- Support the different initiative leaders in defining proper transformation & digital KPIs
- Enable End-to-end performance tracking and reporting for the corporate transformation initiatives in collaboration with the required stakeholders.
Your Profile
- You hold a master’s degree, preferably in a technical or economic field.
- You have a min. of 5 years of relevant working experience in product management, program management, portfolio management or project management with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Proficient in Agile methodologies.
- You speak and write English fluently supplemented with either Dutch or French. Knowledge of German would be an asset.
- You have strong analytical skills, for complex simulations and result analysis.
- You have a proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- You have strong change management skills and adaptability in dynamic environments.
- You communicate clearly at all levels of the organization, with strong leadership qualities.
- You ensure transversal coordination and collaboration across the different customers, product/project members in Belgium and Germany.
- You are a result-oriented team player with innovative problem-solving abilities.
- You work independently, responsibly and are well organized.
- Having experience in the energy sector and/or strong knowledge of the energy market is a plus.
- You are passionate about actively contributing to the energy transition.
- You are willing to travel occasionally to Berlin.
