Project Manager Operational & Safety Excellence
Function
As Project Manager Operational & Safety Excellence, you will oversee transformation projects designed to continuously improve safety, quality and efficiency. You will be jointly responsible for ensuring that all processes and procedures are in place and are followed by all stakeholders. You will work in the North-East region (covering Antwerp, Limburg and Flemish Brabant).
More specifically, as Project Manager Operational & Safety Excellence your job will involve:
- working closely with colleagues from other zones to devise a uniform, integrated approach to projects at national level.
- putting safety, the set objectives, use of the right methodologies and achievement of the KPIs firmly at the heart of all projects.
- translating strategies and methodologies into workshops to ensure that the operational teams apply the established procedures and are able to (and do) take on board the changes introduced by change projects.
- preparing and helping to lead the monthly operational meeting with team leaders in the field (covering topics such as transformation status and safety).
You will be assisted by your team, specifically the Operational & Safety SPOC, especially with regard to safety-related topics, and will report to the Head of Maintenance Assessment & Commissioning North.
Your Profile
To serve as Project Manager Operational & Safety Excellence, you ideally have:
- A degree in civil or industrial engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience in change management projects and the ability to persuade those in the field to implement change.
- Experience in project management and overseeing multiple topics in parallel.
- A profound safety mindset. Experience in implementation of Safety rules in the organisation is a plus.
- Excellent people skills, encompassing all levels of the organisation.
- Capabilities to analyse and optimize complex processes on both practical and abstract domains.
- Willing to obtain a certificate in 'continuous improvement' (LEAN principles, Six Sigma, ...).
- In performing their duties, the employee has access to areas for which a prior security check will be carried out in accordance with the Screening law of December 11, 1998.
