At Elia, we’re offering a unique two-year traineeship designed to give you the technical and managerial expertise to launch your career in energy infrastructure. You’ll be working at the heart of the electricity transmission network, helping to maintain, develop, and expand the grid to support Belgium’s energy transition.

What You’ll Learn & Experience:
- Hands-on Field Training: Rotate through different technical teams (high voltage, cables & lines, low voltage, regional dispatching) in 3- to 8-month assignments. Gain first-hand experience in grid operations and energy infrastructure.
- Technical & Managerial Development: Learn how to manage field teams, oversee critical infrastructure projects, and provide expert technical support.
- High-Impact Work: Be part of real-world projects that ensure Belgium’s energy supply remains stable, efficient, and future-ready.
- Mentorship & Coaching: Work alongside experienced engineers and managers, getting personalized guidance and support.

What We’re Looking For
- Engineering Graduate: Master’s in industrial or civil engineering, preferably in electromechanics.
- Bilingual : Fluent in Dutch with a good command of French, or fluent in French with a good command of Dutch.
- Problem Solver: Able to analyze, innovate, and find creative solutions.
- Organized & Resilient: Strong planning skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
- Strong Communicator: Assertive, clear, and effective in working with teams.
- Motivated to Grow: Excited about learning and ready to take on challenges.
- Mobility: Willingness to work at different sites across Belgium as this is a field-based role.
