Operational Quality Manager
Function
As part of the Safety, Quality & Competence team in the Operational Center of Excellence (OCE) department, you will be responsible for developing a strategy for introducing, implementing and monitoring a quality management system. To meet this challenge, you will define and implement the appropriate structure, tools and indicators to optimise the quality, both of the system and current and future operational activities. You will also ensure that a cross-departmental approach is put in place within the Assets Division and that a culture is developed in which everyone feels responsible for quality.
As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for the following activities:
- Developing and maintaining a more efficient process and documentation management system.
- Defining, implementing and managing a non-conformity management system.
- Implementing a structured approach for carrying out review campaigns relating to the operational quality of our activities and management system.
- Carrying out reviews yourself, as well as identifying points for continuous improvement and non-conformities within the organisation by taking part in various team meetings, and consulting tools and other means of gathering information.
- Analysing and formulating proposals for improvement and playing an active part in their implementation.
- Preparing and managing documentation concerning the quality management system.
- Setting up, maintaining and managing the necessary channels of communication (drafting and publication of Quality Flash, communication via team meetings, feedback sessions, etc.).
- Supporting the technical experts and operational managers in all aspects of quality (processes, tools, checklists, reviews and associated action plans, etc.).
- Working closely with the various services within the Assets Division and with other divisions (Infrastructure, Purchasing, Health & Safety, Environment, Business Analyst, etc.).
- Representing the OCE department, either as a participant or leader, in various cross-functional quality-related projects (e.g. Environmental Management System, Single Documentation Management System, Digitisation of Operational Activities, etc.).
Your Profile
- You hold a degree in civil or industrial engineering, or can demonstrate equivalent experience.
- You have experience in implementing a quality management system, ideally with an affinity for safety-related matters.
- You have experience maintenance activities and work on industrial installations.
- You have experience in project/change management, including cultural change.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You are determined and have excellent formal and informal stakeholder management skills, both with teams in the field and at various levels of management.
- You are a good facilitator and have the powers of persuasion needed to implement improvement initiatives in the organisation.
- You have sound writing skills and an excellent command of MS Office tools.
- You are bilingual in French and Dutch, and have a good knowledge of English.
